Project Summary:
The new 120,000 square foot facility will be the largest judicial center in the state of Maine as it consolidates four District and Superior courthouses. Native vegetation and building materials inspired by York County’s landscape invite people in. Woodland views, courtrooms with natural light, clear wayfinding and a harmonious palette of finishes will help the public have a positive experience when visiting the courthouse. As an all-electric building with rooftop photovoltaics the York Judicial Center will be a highly efficient building.
